PERSONS NOT IN LABOUR FORCE

| force increased by 1 million 382 thousand persons compared to the | ||||
| same quarter of previous year. |
When the distribution of persons not in labour force was examined in certain main groups, housewives with 51.8% (12 million 584 thousand persons) comprise a considerable part of the persons not in the labour force. This was followed by students, retired persons and disabled with 13.4%, 12.5% and 9.8% respectively.
53.5% of persons not in labour force were housewives in urban areas. This was followed by students, retired persons and disabled with 15.1%, 13.9% and 6.4% respectively. In rural areas, 48.1% of persons not in labour force were housewives. This was followed by disabled people, students and retired persons with 17.3%, 9.5% and 9.4% respectively.
