LABOUR FORCE PARTICIPATION RATE
| The labour force participation rate (LFPR) which is an important indicator of | ||||
| labour force, decreased for Turkey as a whole and also for urban and rural | ||||
| areas when compared to the results of | ||||
| the third quarter of 2002. LFPR decreased from 52.4% to 50.5% for total, | ||||
| decreased from 45.6% to 44.5% for urban areas, and decreased from 63% to | ||||
| 59.9% for rural areas. In the same period when the LFPR was examined by sex, | ||||
| it decreased from 74.1% to 72.5% for male, and from 31.2% to 28.8% | ||||
| for female. | ||||
