LABOUR FORCE PARTICIPATION RATE
| The labour force participation rate (LFPR) which is an important indicator of | ||||
| labour force, decreased for Turkey as a whole and also for urban and rural | ||||
| areas when compared to the results of | ||||
| the second quarter of 2002. LFPR decreased from 50.6% to 49.4% for total, | ||||
| decreased from 44.6% to 43.5% for urban areas, and decreased from 59.8% to | ||||
| 58.8% for rural areas. In the same period when the LFPR was examined by sex, | ||||
| it decreased from 72.7% to 71.2% for male, and from 28.8% to 27.9% | ||||
| for female. | ||||
