In February 1997, Monthly Industrial Production Index have increased 5.2 % compared to the same month of the previous year.

  1. Monthly Industrial Production Index is calculated to provide immediate information to public. Data on the production of 112 industrial goods produced by 194 establishments constituting 60 % of the total industrial production is used in the calculatoin of the index. In the quarterly industrial production index, data for 1051 goods produced by 2500 establisments constituting 81 % of the total industrial production has been used. Therefore, there may be some discrepencies between the two indices. The monthly index should be considered provisional and analyses should be based on the quarterly index.
