May 9th has been proclaimed National Statistics Day by SIS in order to focus attention on the growing importance of information and data collection as we enter the 21st century.

Turkey is pleased to join many other countries in the celebration of a National Statistics Day to underscore the importance of science, mathematics, information system and statistics infrastructure.
